Online Health Visitor Portal for Families in Liverpool and Sefton
Last Updated: Tuesday, 17 March 2026We've launched a new online Health Visitor Portal and a single phone number to make it easier for families across Liverpool and Sefton to access Child Health Services.
The two improvements simplify access to trusted NHS advice for parents and carers from pregnancy through to school readiness, including guidance on feeding, safe sleep, emotional wellbeing, child development and safety guidance as well as local support information and contact details for Health Visiting Teams.
Alongside the portal, 0 to 19 (25) Child Health Services now have a new single contact number, replacing multiple routes into the service. This change means faster access and direct connection to the correct team, based on which Local Authority families live in.

- If you live in Sefton call: 0151 247 6354
Carol Gordon, Head of Operations at Mersey Care said: “Parents told us they wanted easy access to reliable information in one place, and the new portal provides clear NHS guidance, local support and practical tools to help families feel confident and supported from bump to baby and beyond.
Introducing a single contact number is a significant step forward in how we support children and young people helping us deliver care more efficiently and ensuring no child or family is left waiting unnecessarily.”
By making it easier for families to find trusted information online and providing a simpler, more coordinated way to get in touch with local teams, the improvements support the NHS Long Term Plan’s aim of offering more digital first options and care closer to home. Ultimately, they are designed to help children, young people and families get the right support quickly and in a way that fits into everyday life.
